JSON-RPC API

Infura supports a subset of the Bitcoin Core RPC methods for reading blocks, transactions, chain state, and the mempool. The API is read-only: methods that broadcast or validate transactions, such as sendrawtransaction and testmempoolaccept, aren't available. Neither are wallet, mining, or node administration methods.

To get the hash of the chain tip, read bestblockhash from getblockchaininfo.

Pass parameters as a positional array. For example, getblockhash takes params: [height].

Amounts are expressed in BTC, not satoshis. Block hashes and transaction IDs are hex-encoded strings in RPC byte order.
